Although designed as a Machine Pistol, the MP40 features an under-folding stock constructed from Alloy, which when not in use neatly folds away swinging down under the gun, reducing its size for CQB or storage, and providing users with an additional grip.

At the tip of the MP40's alloy outer barrel, we can find the orange thread protector, which conceals 14mm CW male threading beneath.

Following the thread protector we come to the front sight of the MP40, which is a square front sight post surrounded by a protective hood. The hood protects the front sight in the event of a drop, avoiding potential damage to this vulnerable and essential part of the AEG. The front sight is the perfect size for gelsoft engagements, being wide enough for fast acquisition but fine enough that accurate shots can still be made. This front sight pairs with the rear "notch" sight, which offers two selectable notches of different sizes, with the secondary notch being optimized for longer ranges. The rear sight is located mid-way along the receiver, giving the MP40 a long sight radius for better accuracy.

Next up we reach the receiver, which is designed to perfectly simulate the real MP40's stamped receiver construction. The magazine well is a separate piece that is bent over the top of the receiver around the ejection port, and the top of the receiver includes the grooves and geometry of the real MP40 receiver. This is a nice touch and keeps the MP40 faithful to the real thing, even on close inspection. The receiver is also constructed from steel which is a great choice for both realism and strength.

The magazine release is located on the left side of the receiver, on the magazine well, and can be pressed with the support hand thumb during a reload. The surface of the release is textured to ensure you can press it in any weather condition and is well placed considering that the MP40 was designed to be gripped by the magazine, or just behind.

The controls for the MP40 are simple; the Fire Selector features a 'Semi' and 'Fully Automatic" position, and the "safe" position is provided by an "on/off" switch found on the base of the pistol grip.

The real MP40 has been seen in the hands of various combatants throughout modern history. This means if you are planning a rebel/OPFOR loadout the MP40 would be a good choice if you want to lean into the realism aspect, as these SMGs are still regularly seen in combat zones around the world. If you are more of a reenactor, the MP40 would be a great choice for a German WWII-themed loadout, but would also work well for French Resistance and British SOE as MP40s were regularly used by these groups due to their common 9x19mm pistol ammunition and prevalence amongst German occupying forces.

Unsurprisingly for a replica of a WW2-era weapon, this Gel Blaster appearance can be described as 'vintage' but is still seen in the hands of rebel groups in conflict zones around the world, so could make a nice unique "OPFOR" or "freedom fighter" primary weapon for an interesting loadout. Drop your M4s and AKs, it's time to do things old school. Whether you're a Re-enactor or just a history fan, this is a brilliant addition to any Gelsoft Player's arsenal.

Features

Metal Upper & Lower Body

Metal Gearbox

1:1 Scale, one of the best choices for MP40 / WWII collectors

Metal Body Pins

Metal Sights

Metal Under-Fold Folding Stock

Metal Barrel Assembly

ON/Off switch at the base of the pistol grip

Specs

Model: AGM MP40 MP007A

Recommended Gel Type: IHobby 7.2mm

Type: Electric Gel Blaster (AEG)

Motor: 480 Long High Torque Motor

Inner Barrel Size: Length 250mm / ID TBC

Battery Source: 8.4v NiMH Battery with Mini Tamiya

Velocity: 300 FPS -/+ on IHobby / Gelsoft Ultra Hard Gels

Barrel Thread Type: Clockwise

Fire Modes: Safe/Semi/Full Auto

Magazine Type: AGM MP40 STICK MAG

Magazine Capacity: 50 gel rounds

In the Box

1x AGM German WWII MP40

1x MP40 Stick Magazine

1x Packet of Gels

1x 8.4v Battery

1x Safety Glasses

1x Charger

** Hopup Instructions In the User Manual Are Not For This Product.

**Orange tip shown for illustration purposes**

Note: The safety switch for this rifle is on the bottom of the pistol grip.
