This model is a green gas operated gel blaster which means when you pull back the lever the gas in the blaster is what propels the gel forward.
The 98K was a bolt action served as the primary German service rifle during the WWII era. It designed based on the Gewehr 98 Rifle and replaced the G98 and 98b and used by Nazi Germany from 1935.
The 98K gel blaster is equipped a 600mm barrel instead of the 740mm barrel from G98, but it maintained the high accuracy as the G98 did, hence some 98K was served as the sniper rifle in army as well.

Soaking & Storage of Gels
When soaking the gels, they need to be soaked fully submerged in warm water from the tap for a minimum of 4-6 hours.
Once they have fully grown you can leave them in the water and keep them in or out of the refrigerator.
When you are ready to use them just drain off any excess water with a strainer before you feed them into the mag but do not dry them as they need to be lubricated to work properly.
