Tactical Edge Hobbies was established in December of 2016. We recognized that there was a gap in the market for Gel Ball blasters and were looking to get our foot in the door to an emerging industry and a product that we love ourselves.
We hit a massive speed bump in early 2017 when the Australian Border Force Seized our shipment of Gel blasters and consequently re-seized them again when we had met their requirements.
Needless to Say our Journey ended in a court battle to have our goods released and we won the fight.
We then had to contend with the Queensland police service who threatened imprisonment if our products were found to be firearms under the law and we were selling them. We then proceeded to hand over 16 different types of Gel Ball Blaster so that the QPS ballistics Division could test them.
On top of that we submitted numerous safety certificates, independent Ballistics reports and barrister interpretations to eventually get the decision that our products were not classified as Firearms under QLD law.
As of January 2018, we have been operating at full capacity trying to service the needs of the ever growing Australian Gel Blaster community. We have made mistakes along the way, but every time we make a mistake, we manage to resolve the issue and create a better business.
We would like to thank the Australian Gel Ball Blaster community for all your support throughout our trials and tribulations getting the sport of GelSoft up and running and also the support from buying our products.
Tactical Edge hobbies is committed to bringing gel Blasters to the rest of the country and we are helping other retailers fight against government red tape and will continue to do so as long as we are able.
