XYL Python 357 Operation and performance:
The XYL Python 357 is a single action style revolver. This mean that the hammer needs to be cocked, for each shot. Pulling the trigger without cocking the hammer first, will only rotate the barrel, and will not cock the hammer. So the revolver will only fire when the hammer has been cocked, before pulling the trigger. The black cylinder release catch, does not function as a safety, even though the “S” is engraved on the side of the body. This is only for looks, to replicate what a real revolver would look like, but there is no functioning safety for this toy.
